LORI HOOPER

We are so grateful to have Lori as part of our team at T.J. Scott & Son.
As one of our Funeral Directors, Lori offers a truly beautiful level of support to the families she works alongside—guiding them with calm reassurance, care and understanding through what can be one of life’s most difficult times. She has a natural way of connecting with people, gently helping families feel comfortable, supported and confident in the decisions they are making.
Originally from Stawell, Lori spent many years in Western Australia raising her three children before settling in the Macedon Ranges, where she feels a strong connection to the community. Her journey into funeral care came from a quiet calling, and it’s clear she has found exactly where she is meant to be.
Families often speak about the difference she makes:
“Lori was just wonderful.”
“You were all very friendly and understanding — Lori was excellent. Thank you, Lori.”
Lori works closely with each family, walking beside them every step of the way and ensuring their loved one is honoured with dignity and care—just as she would for her own.

She values being someone people can rely on during difficult moments and takes great meaning from being able to support others when they need it most.
Su-anne was drawn to funeral care after witnessing firsthand the impact of our own compassionate transfer team, and the comfort their approach brought to a grieving family. That experience stayed with her and inspired her to be part of a profession where care, dignity and human connection matter so deeply.
She has a genuine interest in understanding grief and continues to learn more about how best to support families through their loss.
Outside of work, Su-anne enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. Her perfect start to the day is a quiet coffee in the garden—taking a moment to pause before the day begins.

What local families say about the TJ Scott experience

Planning Ahead

Planning ahead makes sense. It’s a way of thinking about your life and providing an opportunity for the people in your life to know what’s
important to you.

TJ Scott & Son is a family business with over 75 years experience helping other families through funeral planning.

Many people find it helpful to think about funeral arrangements like other planned life activities, such as selling your home or retirement. Just like those financial and emotional decisions, there is no ‘one size fits all’ option. You have to think about what’s important for you and for your family.
