Over 75 years as a committed family business, we have developed a tradition of helping our local community.
This is the community where we live and belong, and we know how important it is to get involved to support each other.
TJ Scott & Son is proud to continue our support for a wide range of local sporting, recreational, service and support groups across the Macedon Ranges and Mitchell Shires.
Some of the groups we work with include:
- Bowling Clubs
- Football Clubs
- Golf Clubs
- Health Care Groups
- Lions Club
- Local Hospitals
- Tennis Clubs
AND INFORMATION SESSIONS
People always have questions about grief and loss, funerals and pre-planning, prepaid funerals and funeral insurance. We’re always looking for ways to help people access the information and reassurance they need.
John and Kelly offer Education Seminars for Health Professionals and Information Sessions for Community Groups.
The sessions cover a variety of topics including:
- Grief and Bereavement
- What happens when a loved one dies?
- Working together with health professionals to support grieving families
- Support for parents whose baby has died
- Individually tailored sessions to answer your questions
You can keep an eye on Facebook to find out about upcoming events, or contact us on 03 5422 6455 to plan your own session.
FUNDRAISING FOR A CURE
RELAY FOR LIFE
Our Relay for Life Team was the highest fundraiser at the 2015 Kyneton Relay. The dedicated TJ Scott & Son team of 19 walked for 18 hours around the Kyneton Showgrounds to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
We see the impact cancer has on so many families, including our own. The relay is an active way to join together to fight cancer and its affects.
We’ll be walking again in 2016 and you can support the TJ Scott & Son team.
To donate or get involved, contact Daniel on 03 5422 6455.
YOUR GOODBYE - HONOURING LIFE
TJ Scott & Son are proud to support the AFDA campaign
‘Your Goodbye’. Your Goodbye is an important initiative to guide families to start the conversation about funeral choices and understand why funerals are so important to their family and friends.
We sometimes hear ‘I don’t want a fuss’. The reality is a funeral is not a fuss but rather an opportunity to say goodbye and to come together to share memories and support one another. A funeral is about acknowledging your life. Your life matters so it is important to share the things that are important to you.
Go to www.yourgoodbye.com.au and complete the “Your Story” booklet. In a way, it can become your memoir, an insight of who you are and what shaped your life. It will certainly be a treasured family memento and will make sure those that really matter to you will never say “I wish I knew more” or “if only I had the chance again to ask”.
